Terms and Conditions for our Facility Hire
All bookings must be made in advance, please don’t turn up as you will be turned
away.
On booking you will be given instructions on where to park and where and whom to
pay. We do not have a manned office so it will either be to the house or to a member
of staff on the livery yard.
Payment must be made on arrival and before you enter into your activity, CCTV cameras
are recording the yard and the entrance to the Cross Country.
You must treat the Livery Yard and it’s clients with respect, keep your property
tidy and do not leave any rubbish.
Any damage caused to the show jumps is payable at cost of replacement. Please report
any damage found on entering your activity or you could be liable
No dogs loose on any part of the yard or cross country, they must be kept on a lead
at all times. Any mess made on the yard must be cleaned up.
Terms and Conditions for use of Cross – Country Course
Horse riding and especially Cross – Country is and always will be a risk sport, by
following the rules and guidelines given we hope to keep these risks to an absolute
minimum. The jumps are of varied height, nature and levels of difficulty, the decision
to jump is ultimately the responsibility of the rider, the rider alone has to decide
upon the limits in performance and the ability of his/her, horse/pony.
Hats and suitable footwear MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES when mounted and should be to
the latest approved standards. Back protectors to the latest approved standard should
also be worn.
In the interests of safety all riders should be accompanied when using the jumps.
New Riders to the course should thoroughly check the course to familiarise themselves
with the jumps before attempting to jump any.
Riders under the age of 13 MUST be accompanied by an experienced rider or be participating
in an organised Pony Club or other recognised club event.
It is advised that all riders should have a working mobile phone on them at all times.
All riders are requested to report any broken or damaged fences immediately.
No rider can go on the course unless they have fully read these terms and conditions
and agree to abide by them at all times
DISCLAIMERS
1. Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the proprietors
or anyone whom they are in law responsible, neither the proprietors, nor any employee
nor any person acting on their behalf, accept any liability for any loss, damage,
accident, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any other persons
or cars and contents or property under any conditions whatsoever.
2. The proprietors of Brookhouse Farm have taken reasonable precautions to
ensure the Health & Safety of everyone who uses the course. For these measures to
be effective, everyone must take reasonable care to avoid and prevent accidents occurring
and MUST OBEY any rules and instructions given.
ANY PERSON USING THE CROSS – COUNTRY JUMPS DOES SO ON THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THEY
HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
